When we accepted the invitation to stay two days at The House of NuFACE in Encinitas, Carol and I had no idea the treat we were in for. Honestly, up until we literally walked in the door we didn’t quite know exactly what The House of NuFACE was and fully expected to be joining a group of influencers for our stay. Little did we know that the House of NuFACE was an actual home – the childhood home of NuFACE co-founder Tera Valdez.
Even more special, Tera, her mom Carol Cole, and sister Kim Morales built the NuFACE brand out of this very home. Like literally assembled NuFACE devices out of their garage. Hearing this story, endeared me so much more to the brand. To be invited into this home was truly so special. At this point we’re practically in tears and we learn that we had the whole house to ourselves for a few days –truly BEYOND BELIEF. Like, who’s life am I living?! Babes, if there ever comes a day when I don’t feel extremely aww struck and grateful for the perks of my life, then take it all away.
When we walked into the House of NuFACE, we were instantly transported to a chic minimalist oasis. Just seeing all the personal touches made us immediately feel pampered and loved and we were just getting started. We arrived late morning and there were freshly made smoothies, matcha lattes, and breakfast treats waiting for us. NuFACE spoiled us in all the most amazing ways, from stocking the home with all of our favorite snacks and treats and special gifting including some of my favorite makeup and skincare favs. Best of all, every room was fully stocked with all my favorite NuFACE devices, activators, and serums. We were in NuFACE heaven!

Once we settled in, we headed off to NuFACE headquarters for a personal tour. Holy cow babes, I just love NuFACE and I am so proud of them as a brand! NuFACE has over 300 employees and handles their manufacturing in house. To this day, Kim still manages the manufacturing department and to see behind the scenes of this family-owned business was so inspiring! These three women literally created this brand from scratch and now they are industry leaders of at-home beauty devices.
The tour was incredible but the highlight for me was meeting Carol Cole. Carol, a celebrity aesthetician since the 80’s is the Queen of the NuFACE brand. Her passion for microcurrent technology became the seed from which NuFACE was born, allowing all of us to enjoy this technology from our homes. She is witty and charming, and it was absolute treat to meet her.
As the grand finale, we followed up our tour with a personal microcurrent facial by none other than Tera! Like wow babes, I knew we’d be getting a microcurrent treatment but to be lifted and loved by Tera herself was an absolute pinch me moment.
The next day, NuFACE arranged for Carol and I to have a private Pvolve workout at the House of NuFACE. It’s a kick-ass workout and our trainer Sarah Sara Koenig was exceptional. If you haven’t tried one of their classes you gotta check them out. Their workouts combine functional fitness with resistance based equipment for the most incredibly effective results.

After our workout, Carol and I spent the day exploring Escondido. It’s a lovey beach town with plenty of shops and amazing restaurants. A few of our favorite restaurants that you must checkout if you’re in the area are Campfire and Pacific Coast Grill. If you go to Campfire, you absolutely must get the broccoli. It’s like nothing I’ve ever tried before. And don’t leave there without trying the s’mores. Carol and I shared one, it was decadent and freakin’ amazing. We ended our stay with dinner at the Pacific Coast Grill. It has a beautiful ambience with a lovely beach view. It was the perfect way to end our stay.
This two-day getaway was truly a one-of-a-kind influencer trip. NuFACE really knows how to make a girl feel special. They took such amazing care to ensure that the trip was all about self-care and escaping the stresses of daily life. I already loved NuFACE as a brand but now I love the people behind the brand too. I’m truly in awe of all they’ve accomplished. Thank you NuFACE for providing the sanctuary Carol and I needed to recharge and also to reflect on how far we’ve come with our own brand. THANK YOU for making us feel lifted and loved in all the best ways!
