If I were stranded on a deserted island lip balm would definitely make the list of top 10 things I’d want to have with me. I’m just saying. Lip balms are one of those things I carry with me at all times. I keep them everywhere… in my makeup bag, in my purse, in my car, in every room in my house, literally everywhere.
As I’m sure you know, not all lip balms are created equally. So let’s chat about some of my favorite lip balms for keeping winter chapped lips at bay. I’ll definitely be adding some of these to the girls’ stockings this Christmas.
The Best Lip Balms for Winter Chapped Lips
Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner
Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner is so LUXURIOUS! It has been a long time favorite of mine. It’s definitely a splurge but totally worth it in my opinion. Not only does it smell lovely but it protects my lips all night long. Some overnight balms say they protect but really don’t. On the other hand, Aerin’s lip balm doesn’t even claim to offer overnight protection but I’ve found that it works best for me.
Kosas Sport Hyaluronic Lip Balm
These days I have been loving Kosas Sport Lip Balm because it layers nicely under my lipstick. It’s smooth and non-greasy with no shine. It perfectly hydrates my lips and has a fresh minty scent. I love Kosas brand for their clean ingredients and the hyaluronic acid protects my lips from cold weather dryness.
Thrive Liquid Balm Lip Treatment
Thrive’s Liquid balm lip treatment is part lip gloss part lip balm. I like to use it when I’m going for a natural look. Some of the key ingredients in this lip balm are vitamin E, vitamin B5, and omegas 3+6. I love how Thrive’s lip balm keeps my lips plump and hydrated throughout the day.
Tinted Lip Balms
I’m also a fan of tinted lip balms. They do a nice job of keeping my lips hydrated. I wouldn’t recommend them if you plan to be out in the cold for hours but they are lovely nonetheless. My favorites are Dior Addict, Fresh Sugar Balm, and InnisFree My Lip Balm in Mint Earl Grey. I’ve linked these in the shopping links below.
