I am so hyped for this detox darlings!! The detox will start when I return from Italy on August 6th. Be sure to follow along on Instagram for updates.

3 Day Juicing DetoxIf you decide to join me for 1 day or the full 3 days I hope this detox will kick start your path to eating for healing, a revamped attitude on incorporating detoxifying foods into your daily life, and lead to a lasting affection for juicing. The goal is to assist in introducing more foods into you diet that will help your body begin to heal itself whether you already eat clean on the regular or if this your first time in your life seeking healthier lifestyle habits.

Without out further ado let’s get started!!

Detox Guide

There are many benefits to detoxing. This detox will:

  • Expel waste from your body, especially your gut
  • Restore your energy levels, and might even improve brain fog
  • Detox specifically your kidneys, liver, and blood
  • Cure your bad eating habits
  • Reduce bloating and naturally shrink your stomach to its normal size
  • You may lose a bit of weight in the process

Things You Will Need for this Detox:

Days before your detox set yourself up for success by making sure you have all your detox equipment on hand.

1. Juicer:
Don’t feel the need to go out spend a ton of money on the top of the line juicer until you know you want to stick with juicing. Here are a couple “beginner” models around $50 with great reviews:


I personally own a Breville Juicer that I love. Here are some great options by Breville:


2. Citrus Juicer:
Hot water with lemon & crushed ginger will be your best friend to soothe your tummy throughout the 3 days.


3. Glass Travel Bottles:
The only way to make this detox a tolerable experience is to easily be able to bring your juices to go if necessary. I recommend getting 2-3 glass travel bottles.


4. Glass food containers with lids 1 medium 1 small:
Great news there is one detoxifying meal you will be eating each day. More to come on what that meal looks like and when you eat it.

5. Veggie steamer; bamboo ones are fine.

6. Blender

Detox Shopping List

  • 6 Lemons
  • 6 Green Apples
  • 2-3 Bunches Celery
  • 6 Bunches Fresh Spinach
  • 3 Fresh Beet Roots
  • 2-3 Bunches Fresh Parsley
  • 6-8 Medium Juicing Cucumber
  • 1 Large Bag Carrots,3 Pink or Yellow Grapefruit
  • 2 Oranges
  • Mint
  • 2-3 each Yellow & Red Bell Peppers
  • Ginger,Garlic
  • Shiitake Mushrooms
  • Radishes
  • Bok Choy
  • Green Onion
  • Arugula,Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Brown Rice
  • Miso Paste (can be found at Whole Foods, Sprouts, or Asian markets)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Fresh Seaweed
  • Supplements,(Vitamin C 1000mg, Flaxseed oil pills in a vegan capsule)
  • Wheatgrass or Wheatgrass Blend Powder
  • Herbal teas (Mint, Ginger, Chamomile)
  • Filtered Water

Detox Guide for Each Day:

When you wake up:

1. Hot Water with Lemon

In a large glass add the juice of one freshly squeezed lemon, a knuckle of fresh ginger crushed with the back of a knife or 1 tsp apple cider vinegar and hot (but drinkable) filtered water.

Enjoy this tummy soothing elixir while hot.

2. Wheatgrass or Amazing Trio

In a large glass add one scoop of wheatgrass or Amazing Trio powder to room temperature filtered water. Do not use cold water, the powder will not disperse.

Enjoy this detoxifying liquid sunshine before you have your morning juice. I like to down it in one fell swoop.

***TIP: Drink with a reusable straw, it helps get it down. If you stick with drinking wheatgrass water your taste buds will adapt to not only the rich earthy flavor but you will get used to the slightly gritty texture.

Wheatgrass for 3 day Detox3. Morning Juice / Breakfast

• 1 beet
• 2 carrots
• 1/2 apple
• 1 large handful spinach
• 2 cucumber
• 1 peeled lemon
• 1 large knuckle of ginger

Juice. Begin with you softer veg like lemon and cucumber ending with harder veg like beets or carrots. The harder veg will push through the softer bits left behind in the filter.

Drink immediately. Sip, do not gulp. But finish within 5-10 minutes.

***TIP If you foresee yourself not having time to make juices everyday, I suggest making them ahead of time. The nutritional value decreases as it oxidizes but hey I much rather you juice before hand than not at all.

4. Ginger or Chamomile or Peppermint Tea

Enjoy this tea as a late morning tummy soother…or simply anytime of the day.

Lunch Time

Miso Soup with Brown Rice and Veggies:

This darlings is my go to detox meal!! I enjoy this meal throughout the year, not only when doing a detox.

Directions for Preparing Miso Soup with Steamed Veggies:

  1. I typically add 1 Tbsp miso paste for each cup water.
  2. Add 1 cup cooked brown rice to 1-2 cups heated miso soup.
  3. Mix in gently steamed veggies:
    • Broccoli
    • Cauliflower
    • Mushrooms
    • Radish
    • Freshly grated Garlic &/or Ginger

4. Top with:

    • Fresh Seaweed
    • Green Onion
    • Arugula
    • Squeeze lemon juice on top

Late Afternoon:

Pick-me-up Juice Option 1:

    • 6-8 Carrots
    • 2 Apples
    • Large knuckle of ginger
    • 1-2 tangerines (Optional)

Pick-me-up Juice Option 2:

    • 3 Grapefruits
    • 2 Oranges
    • Handful of Mint

Dinner (Before 6:00 or 7:00 pm at the latest)

Freshly Juiced Vegetable Soup

        1. Juice the following vegetables:
          • 2 Celery Stalks
          • 2 Carrots
          • 1 Cucumber
          • 1 Red Bell Pepper
          Detox Dinner Juice Soup Ingredients
        2. In a Blender:
          • Add Veggie Juice
          • 2 Tomatoes
          • 1 Large Handful Spinach
        3. Blend until smooth

Dinner Prep

4. Transfer to a pot and warm over low heat until warm but not too hot. Enjoy!!

Bedtime
Soothe your tummy with herbal tea. In case of emergency…like extreme dire need to eat something, you can have a handful of raw almonds.

That’s everything you need to join in on the 3 day detox! It’s 2 weeks away so get your shopping done. My body is going to need this cleanse after Italy. Ciao darlings!
