If you told me ten years ago I would be a 41 year old women on the cover of a magazine I would have thought you were crazy. One of the things this year has taught me is there is no expiration date on dreaming big.
Finding My Life’s Purpose
So often we are taught that you have to do life in a particular order – go to college, have an amazing career, make lots of money by the time your 30, get married, buy a fancy house, have children, and so on. Well, I pretty much broke all the rules LOL. I had my first daughter at 17, didn’t get married at that time, and basically threw off the whole natural order of things. Becoming a teen mom definitely tainted my reputation. In fact, many people wrote me off as just another teen mom with no real future. I’m here to tell you that it’s okay to fall off course. It’s okay to not have your life mapped out by the time you’re 20. And yes, it’s even okay for your life to not happen in the order that society expects.
My life’s purpose is always evolving and that’s okay. In my early 20’s I had big plans for my career as an architectural interior designer. By my mid-20’s I dedicated my whole life to being a stay-at-home and supporting my daughters’ father as he pursued his dreams.

In my early 30’s my life transitioned to being a single mom. Soon after landed my dream job as a corporate flight attendant. By my late 30’s I realized that I’m so much more than a mom and even my dream job. I had so many passions that I wanted to share. So by my late 30’s we started The Tennille Life.
Since then my life’s purpose has been to use my passions for beauty, fashion and wellness to motivate and inspire women to embrace all the things that make them unique. I’ve used my self care routines to help women find the things that bring them joy. Self care has been such a critical part of my healing journey and learning to love myself. Everyday I’m so motivated by all of the women who are learning to love themselves too. The Tennille Life dedicates this Curl Magazine feature to all of you!
You are definitely accomplishing your dream of helping others. As I am transitioning to grey (6 months in now), you have inspired me that women can be just as beautiful with grey natural hair. Even with the two colors right now I am getting so many compliments on my hair.
I’m so happy for you Angela!! Thank YOU for sharing your story and making my day!❤️❤️❤️
I binged your whole blog over this last weekend. So inspiring!
Thanks so much for your support darling! ????????
Hello
In your Silver Curly Hair Routine, what is the styling product you used from that red plastic container?
It was displayed for a second and I was not able to get the brand name. Thank you for your reply.
I really just love your video tutorial!
