Don’t call me scrooge babes, but this year I just don’t want a Christmas tree. We literally just got settled in our new place, our artificial tree is in storage, and I just don’t have it in me. Now don’t get me wrong, I still want the holiday cheer but just not the hassle of setting up a tree. I know this is very unlike me, but babes, I promise Christmas can be Christmas without a tree. My little Elf (May) and I have sprinkled Christmas joy throughout our home and we couldn’t be happier. Whether you’re like me and just don’t have the energy for a tree (which is okay babes!) or maybe you just don’t have the space, here are my tips for decorating for Christmas without tree.
Christmas Decorating without a Tree
- Hang Christmas Garland: Nothing says Christmas like garland! Hang it on a mantle, stair railing, buffet table, or even a cabinet. Garland is the perfect Christmas décor for anyone with limited space. Click to shop this Artificial Cedar and Eucalyptus Garland.
- Decorate Your Indoor Trees or Planters: I’ve had this faux olive tree for years. All I did was add white string lights from Amazon and now it’s beautifully transformed into our version of a Christmas tree.
- Create Festive Greenery Arrangements: Adding seasonal sprigs like this Pine & Snowberry Branch to a beautiful vase (like this distressed vase from Target) is an easy way to add Christmas cheer to any room.
- Decorate with Lanterns: Add some lights, seasonal greenery, and a candle inside a lantern for the perfect Christmas ambience. Lanterns can be used as a centerpiece for your table or any little corner you need to set the mood. My favorite thing is that lanterns are so versatile and can be used all year long.
- Ornaments Aren’t Just for Trees: Get creative with your Christmas Ornaments! Add them to a fruit bowl to create a centerpiece, hang them in your window or sprinkle them around your home for extra holiday cheer.
